Coubcil Loses Two Staff

The Chairman of Omuma LGA, Mr John Anucha has described the painful death of two of his staff as embarrassing.
Mr Anucha who spoke through his vice, Engr. Kenneth Anele when he paid condolence visits to the families of late Mr Anthony Onyeso, Chief Security Officer and Mr Chikodi Amalili, a security Officer in the council.
The two staff of the council were shot dead on Monday afternoon by a convoy of armed robbers in army uniform who came through Okehi Eberi Road to Umuiku in Ukwa West LGA of Abia State.
The two victims who were on duty that morning, left to Umuiku in Ukwa West to see a friend where they met their death.
Mr John Anucha,who expressed shock over their sudden death, assured both families of council’s assistance in the training of their children and during their burials.
He urged both families to bear the loss with fortitude and look into God, the author and finisher of our faith.
Responding on behalf of the families Mr. Vincent Udomba thanked Mr. Anucha for identifying with the families in their period of pain and grief, pointing out that the burial date would be communicated in due course.
