The office for International Donor Agencies was created on the 1st of July, 2008 by His Excellency the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Rt. Objectives The creation of this office is backed with the objective to :-  Facilitate the entry of International donor / development assistance agencies to Rivers State.  Develop a comprehensive programme for cooperation between Rivers State Government and key International agencies and development organisations.  To identify and leverage resources for human / social development that are domiciled with International donor agencies for the benefit of Rivers people.  Coordinate the activities of all development donor agencies in the state and serve as the “voice and advocate” of the Rivers people in the circles of International Donor agencies and organisations.  To develop and broker “ development cooperation agreements”(DCAS) between MDAs, implementing partners, countries and international donor agencies on programmes funded from development assistance funds (DAFs)  To advise the Rivers State Government on key sectors / issues that require urgent attention and where intervention by development by development co-operators are required.  To ensure proper monitoring and evaluation of development assistant programmes of the state.

Our vision is to have a Rivers State where all avenues, potentials and opportunities are explored to provide access to quality living and peaceful environment.

Mission

To facilitate and provide support for credible International Development Agencies in their bid to partner with Rivers state Government in all areas of intervention that the Government has interest to achieve, improve and sustainable living standards.

Goal

To increase the capacity of Rivers state Government and people to “do more” about the incidence of poverty and all the attending ills. To promote a culture of transparency and mutual respect. Work with MDAs to implement development corporation agreements with development partners and co-operators from all over the world in line with acceptable global practice(s).
