Invest In Children's Education - Parents Advised

Parents in the State have been advised to invest in the Education of their children and not to allow gender consideration to create any disparity.
The State Head of Service, Mrs Esther Anucha gave the advice at St. Mathias Cathedral, Okomoko/Egwi/Umuanyagu in Etche Local Government Area, while receiving an award to mark St. Mathias Day.
Mrs Anucha noted that if her Parents had not encouraged girl Education, her potentials would not have been developed much more becoming a Head of Service.
The Head of Service urged Youths to aim higher than their role models.
She thanked members of St. Mathias Cathedral, Okomoko/Egwi/Umuanyagu for honouring her, promising to serve God with the newness of heart.
In his sermon, the Bishop of Etche Diocese, Rt. Rev. Okechukwu Nwala advised the Head of Service to use her office to render purposeful service, realizing the fact that God and Man are at watch.
Bishop Nwala who spoke on the theme, “Building on the legacy of faith” also called on Christians to be good advocates and a bridge that could unite the Etche Ethnic Nationality.
The
Bishop condemned the immaturity being exhibited by Etche Politicians wondering why politicians in Etche should have permanent enemies thereby creating problems that inhibit the growth of Etche Land.

ong the dignitaries who attended the occasion were the former deputy Governor of old Rivers State, Chief Dominic Anucha, Former State Commissioner for Information Chief Charles Obowu and Chairman of Dosharis Nigeria Limited, Chief Austin Amadi.
