ELGA to Enhance Speedy Dev. of Etche

The Etche Local Government Council is to intensify efforts for the implementation of its bye-laws to enhance the speedy development of the area.
Chairman of the Council, Mr. Ephraim Nwuzi disclosed this when members of Conference of Customary Courts in Etche Ethnic Nationality called on him in his office at Okehi.
Mr. Nwuzi commended the chairmen and members of customary courts on their meritorious appointments and thanked the State Governor, Rt Hon. Chibuike Amaechi for including Etche Ethnic Nationality in the scheme of things and assured them that the council would assist to improve the sanitary condition of the court.
Earlier, the chairman of Umuaturu Customary Court, Mr. Uzoma Ahunanya had stressed the need for increased awareness to enable the people embrace the customary court to enhance quick settlement of matters concerning the customs and traditions of the people.
Mr. Ahunanya called for the posting of police to customary courts to ensure security during their sittings.
