Additional Security Numbers Announced

In a bid to check the ugly trend of kidnapping and other insecurity related cases in the State and its environs, additional contact numbers have been provided for the public .
The numbers are 08191627934, 08191627997, 08191627996, 08191627999, 08060509247 and 08027673068.
Speaking at Degema, headquarters of Degema Local Government Area, the State Director of Security Services (SSS), Mr. Douglas Dogo who was on a sensitization visit to the area on security said, the numbers would complement the already publicized 112 security number.
Mr. Dogo advised the people not to leave security to operatives alone, adding that the handling of security cases should be a responsibility for everybody.
He urged the council chairman to hold regular security meetings and appealed to the people to form vigilante groups in their various communities.
Also speaking the State Commissioner of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Dr. Tammy Wenike Danagogo, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry Mrs Grace Okwulehie, remarked that, the State Government would continue to accord high priority to security matters.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Chairman of Degema Local Government Council, Chief Abiye Davies had informed the State Director SSS that, in spite of the Amnesty Programme, his LGA still experiences fresh security challenges.
This, according to the him includes, sea piracy, kidnapping, re-establishment of cultist camps and vandalization of oil facilities.
